HuskyTHON

HuskyTHON is an 18-hour dance marathon organized and attended by UConn students. Founded in 1998 by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, HuskyTHON is the premiere philanthropy event at the University of Connecticut. The event has raised more than $600,000 for Connecticut Children’s, and has involved more than 600 dancers and 3,000 participants.  In 2011 alone, UConn's HuskyTHON raised a record total of $188,558.

Spring Polar Plunge & Cannonball Competition

Brownstone will be hosting their 3rd Annual Spring Polar Plunge & Cannonball Competition to raise funds for the kids at Connecticut Children's. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and activities begin at noon. There is something for all ages including the Pee-Wee Plunge, beach plunge and the Cannonball Competition. You can register online now and start collecting pledges that can be turned in at the event.

Miracle Ride

Ride begins in Newington, CT

Miracle Ride is one of the largest charity motorcycle rides in Southern New England.  More than 1,000 motorcyclists are expected to come from across the Northeast to help raise money for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.  Proceeds of Miracle Ride support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Connecticut Children’s.  Since Miracle Ride began, more than $470,000 has been donated and used to purchase specialized equipment that these babies need.

Cycle of Life

The 5th Annual Cycle of Life – a special celebration for pediatric cancer survivors and children who are currently undergoing treatment.  The event is both fun and educational and provides an opportunity for children and families to reconnect with their caregivers and friends.  All of the proceeds raised will benefit the Division of Hematology and Oncology.
