Geno Auriemma Visits Connecticut Children's

  Geno Auriemma visited Connecticut Children's to celebrate the 10th Annual Geno Auriemma's "Fore the Kids" Charity Golf Tournament, which will be held on Tuesday, May 29th at the Hartford Golf Club. Geno and Tournament Co-Chairs, Brien Beakey and Joe Campise, presented Martin Gavin, President and CEO of Connecticut Children's, and Jeffrey Thomson, M.D., Division Chief, Division of Orthopaedics, with a check in the amount of $850,000, which represents the cumulative total the tournament has raised with Geno’s participation. This year's tournament will benefit the Orthopaedic Surgery Research and Technology Fund. While at the Medical Center, Geno visited with patients and their families.
