11th ANNIVERSARY 102.9 DRC-FM RADIOTHON REACHES THE “RACE TO 2 MILLION” FOR CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is proud to announce the 11th Annual 102.9 DRC-FM Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothon successfully hit its $2 million cumulative fundraising goal! It was truly a team effort and a testament to the loyal listeners who are generous supporters of Connecticut Children’s.
The Radiothon, which ran from Thursday, August 29 through Saturday, August 31, aired live from Connecticut Children’s One World Café featuring Jerry Kristafer and the Big D Morning Show with Mike Stevens and Kim Zachary, along with Floyd Wright and Grahame Winters telling the inspiring stories of our patients and families. WFSB meteorologist Scot Haney garnered the support of his viewers by broadcasting live for the kickoff on August 29.

This year’s Radiothon raised more than $200,000; since its inception, more than $2.138 million has been raised for the Medical Center.
