My name is Grace Bergin, and I am holding my ninth annual lemonade stand fundraiser on Memorial Day to support the Clinical Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. In addition to my lemonade stand, I am fundraising online for Connecticut Children’s to meet my 2017 goal of $25,000.
My lemonade stand will be set up on the Farmington parade route. I also have several mobile units – wagons stocked with lemonade to take through the crowds after the parade finishes. Lemonade is $1 for parade goers, and free to police, firefighters and members of the military. All of the lemonade is donated by Whole Foods Market Bishop’s Corner in West Hartford.
I started volunteering when I was very young and was inspired by the book, “Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand.” As a patient of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, I wanted the money to benefit my local children’s hospital.
Since 2008, I have raised more than $125,000 — $25,027 last year alone, all thanks to amazing support from my family, friends and the community.
Please visit my stand on May 29th during the Farmington Memorial Day Parade.
I hope you can help me reach my 2017 goal of raising $25,000 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Thank you for your support!
