Miles for Miracles 5K @ Mortenson Riverfront Park

Miles for Miracles 5K in Hartford, CTBendett & McHugh, P.C. is proud to continue the Miles for Miracles tradition of supporting the highest quality patient care and enhancing the health and well-being of the children and families in our community.

The picturesque Hartford Riverfront 5K course is USATF certified with chip timing! Kicking off at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Miles for Miracles is pleased to offer complimentary warm-up and post-race massages from certified massage therapists.

Come tee it up and support the 10th Anniversary Jamie’s Run for Connecticut Children’s! Your participation will benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children’s in honor of Jamie Knotts, who lost her battle with cancer at the age of only 5 1/2 months.

5K Run/Walk for Nancy’s Kids @ MDC Reservoir

Join us as we celebrate the 16th Annual Run for Nancy’s Kids!

Open to the public, we welcome runners, walkers, adults and children. This scenic, paved 5K route through the MDC Reservoir is beautiful and enjoyable for all ages and fitness levels. Bring your strollers and pets (on a leash) too!

Walk-up registration will be available on race day. $30 for Adults (18+), $25 for Adolescents 10-17, Children 9 & under are free.

Run for Nancy’s Kids is organized by the University of Connecticut Pediatric Residency Program. The event celebrates the memory of Nancy Law, M.D., a beloved physician at Connecticut Children’s and an inspiration to many young people. Nancy’s Kids Fund provides financial assistance to families in need. Your support brings peace of mind and lifts financial burdens for families struggling to care for their children.

Extra Life – Play Games. Heal Kids. @ Anywhere you want!

Extra Life. Play Games. Heal Kids.Extra Life is a year-round fundraising initiative that culminates in a 24-hour gaming challenge, where participants can play from the comfort of their own homes while supporting their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Last year, Extra Life raised more than $114,000 for Connecticut Children’s.

The concept of Extra Life is that people pledge their support to the gamers to play any games they wish for an allotted amount of time. Gamers can participate in video, tabletop, fantasy and other games. Participants are encouraged to participate during the 24-hour National Game Day, which will be on November 2 this year, but they are able to do this any day of the year for any amount of time they’d like. Fundraising begins on January 1, 2019 and ends on December 31, 2019.

Celebrate the season of giving with family and friends!

MAX Downtown’s 11th Annual Teddy Bear Tea

ONLINE RESERVATIONS

Children and adults will be served tea, hot chocolate, cookies and little bites. Each young guest will enjoy the custom cupcake bar, MAX candy buffet and your own Signature MAX bear to bring home. Guests 12 and under are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to pass along, in the spirit of the holiday season, for patients at Connecticut Children’s.

Reservations begin at 10:30 AM, last seating is at 2:00 PM. Pricing is $43.50 for children and $49.75 for adults. This is a ticketless event; you will check in upon arrival. Online reservations are available for your convenience, or you can call MAX Downtown at 860-522-2530 to make reservations. Free validated parking for 3 hours in the attached CityPlace garage.
