Miles for Miracles 5K @ Mortenson Riverfront Park

Miles for Miracles 5K in Hartford, CTBendett & McHugh, P.C. is proud to continue the Miles for Miracles tradition of supporting the highest quality patient care and enhancing the health and well-being of the children and families in our community.

The picturesque Hartford Riverfront 5K course is USATF certified with chip timing! Kicking off at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, Miles for Miracles is pleased to offer complimentary warm-up and post-race massages from certified massage therapists.

Eversource Hartford Marathon – Team Connecticut Children’s @ Bushnell Park

In 2018, Team Connecticut Children’s member, Greg Hammond, received the David Polk Perpetual Award, named after the founding board member of the Hartford Marathon Foundation. It’s given each year to the person who raises the most money at the marathon.

Team Connecticut Children’s is proud to be the largest, official charity team participating in the Eversource Hartford Marathon. Every year, our team has grown larger and more successful than the last. Over the past 14 years, team members have raised over $500,000 and more than $100,000 in 2018 alone! With your help we’ll keep growing, running, and fundraising for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Team Connecticut Children’s welcomes runners and walkers at any level, from the recreational runner to the experienced marathoner. Marathon events include the marathon, half marathon, 5K, relay and HMF Fit Kids.

Step right up and join us for Connecticut Children’s signature fundraising event!

Connecticut Children’s understands that making children’s lives as healthy and happy as possible goes beyond providing care when they are sick. From the delivery of world-class medical care to community-based health and wellness programs, Connecticut Children’s helps children grow through every moment of life.

On Saturday, November 2, Connecticut Children’s will host a Greatest Showman-themed Gala at the Connecticut Convention Center. The Gala pre-event cocktail reception will include unique silent auction items and interactive performers. The ballroom will be transformed so everyone in attendance can experience all the wonder and delights of the Big Top. The evening will conclude with dancing to live music.

Lace up for Connecticut Children’s largest 5K road race event. The 10th Annual Road Race, walk and Kids’ K is perfect for seasoned runners and bumbling toddlers alike! The professionally-run 5K circles the historic Town Green, and the Kids K fun run has 4 age categories with great LEGO prizes. You’ll have so much fun while supporting vital cancer research and family support at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, giving kids and families hope!

Why not set up a fundraising team?

Jamie Knotts lost her battle with a rare liver cancer at 5 1/2 months old in 2010. This race not only honors Jamie, but also the doctors, nurses and staff at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center who are living angels to the children and families who are currently struggling with cancer and blood disorders.

Your participation will ensure a brighter future for children all over Connecticut, who come to Connecticut Children’s for state-of-the-art care. The race for a cure for many forms of cancer and blood disorders continues. The proceeds equally support the Cancer Clinical Trials Program, which helps to offer the latest advancements in treatment, and the Family Assistance Fund, because the last thing a parent needs to worry about when their child is diagnosed with cancer is how to pay the bills.
