Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation provides unique opportunities for patients to honor their care journey and serve as representatives for Connecticut Children’s at special events in the community.
Patient Family Program
Throughout the year, Connecticut Children’s organizes events where our supporters can connect with and honor our patients. Current patients and their families are invited to attend these exciting events that generate revenue for Connecticut Children’s, including dance marathons, car shows, road races and more, at no cost to the families. These events celebrate our patients, create fun memories and may offer the opportunity for a family to share how Connecticut Children’s has made an impact on their lives. Patient family stories are also featured in various print and digital publications throughout the year. To get involved, please share your story with us and a Foundation representative will be in contact with you.
The Connecticut Children’s All-Stars represent the diversity of patients we care for at our 39 locations in 21 towns. Nominated by a Connecticut Children’s team member, the All-Stars and their families are called upon throughout the year to represent Connecticut Children’s at local events and address supporters by sharing their story. Members of this group are passionate about the care they’ve received at Connecticut Children’s and are eager to give back by serving as frequent representatives during their two-year term. Connect with your Connecticut Children’s caregiver if you’re interested in this opportunity.
Each year Connecticut Children’s awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to outstanding students who are connected to the Medical Center. Scholarship information and application forms are available below.
For the 2020-2021 school year, Connecticut Children’s will award $42,500 to students pursuing post-secondary education.
