Dr. Nicholas Bennett, an Infectious Diseases and Immunology physician at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, has decided to combine his love for his patients and his passion for landscape photography to help raise funds for Connecticut Children’s new Infusion & Dialysis Center.
Over the last year and a half, Dr. Bennett has pursued his interest in photography primarily as a respite and escape from his intense schedule. His appreciation for the simple beauty of nature and the natural wonders of the world, along with his unique ability to capture a moment in time and keen sense of color and scale, have brought about a dazzling opportunity to give back to Connecticut Children’s.
“What inspired me to make the leap is the idea of donating a portion of my profits to Connecticut Children’s. I have worked at Connecticut Children’s for nearly six years, and would love to be a part of the philanthropic family. Selling my photographs would allow me to be a part of that in a very meaningful way,” Dr. Bennett said.
The “Photography for Infusions” campaign is a yearlong campaign that will highlight some of Dr. Bennett’s most prized portfolio. His collection includes, but is not limited to, unique natural landscapes, wildlife, and much more. Dr. Bennett says the new Infusion & Dialysis Center would directly benefit a cadre of his patients who currently receive infusions at Connecticut Children’s. “I feel that it is a worthy and important endeavor, and it would be more than appropriate for me to support the children who use it in this way,” he said.
