The campaign to build a new Infusion Center and an outpatient pediatric Dialysis Center at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is well underway and the Brombergs are helping to make it happen. “We’re very supportive of Connecticut Children’s and we are happy to support this campaign,” Matthew said.

When she was 8 she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease… Given Lauren’s history and understanding, it’s not surprising that she and her husband, Christopher, decided to provide substantial support to the campaign.

Awaiting Transplant – Son’s Care Inspires Family Gift

“We realized how important it is to have child-friendly facilities for children who need infusion therapy and outpatient dialysis services,” Kristen said. But the inspiration behind the family’s gift is a pediatric patient who has never undergone infusion therapy or dialysis, and may never need either service: their 14-year-old son, Nate. “These are the kinds of facilities you don’t appreciate until you need them—and when you need them, you really appreciate having them,” Matt said.

As Principal in the Hartford office of the international commercial real estate firm Avison Young, Andy Filler has placed clients in office space all over Greater Hartford. One of those clients is Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. But Andy’s involvement with the new Infusion Center and Dialysis Center isn’t limited to facilitating the real estate aspects: Andy and his wife, Jennifer, also decided to make a leadership gift in support of the new centers.
