Our Community Impact
For 20 years, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center has been here for the community, making an impact while providing world-class care for Connecticut’s children when they are sick or injured. But we aren’t just here for the community; we are in the community, every day. And we don’t just care for children when they are having health problems; we actively work to prevent those health problems from ever occurring in the first place.
That’s the purpose of the Office for Community Child Health. We partner with and coordinate the efforts of dozens of local, regional, and national programs to address an extraordinary range of issues affecting child health—from pediatric HIV to family violence. By working on the causes of health issues, we make sure fewer kids ever need to come to the Medical Center.
