What your funds support

Gifts to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation—and the Greatest Need Children’s Fund—touch every corner of Connecticut Children’s. From non-clinical resources to assist families in need—to cutting-edge research in search of a cure—donor gifts play an essential role in our ability to make the necessary investments in people, technology, and state-of-the-art equipment that define the exceptional care we provide to the children and families who need us.

From the tiniest babies treated in our Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) to children and young adults undergoing cancer treatment in our Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders, every patient who comes through our doors receives the specialized care they need and deserve.

The Greatest Need Children’s Fund allows Connecticut Children’s to treat the routine injuries and illnesses of childhood and keeps us nimble and responsive, so we can address extraordinary needs during uncertain times. For example, during the COVID-19 crisis, the Greatest Need Children’s Fund provides support for the purchase of critical personal protection equipment (PPE), the hardware and technology necessary to increase our telemedicine capabilities and additional common items like hand sanitizer and tympanic thermometers for testing and temperature screening.

That’s why the Greatest Need Children’s Fund is so important…every day.
