Explore & Participate
Our signature and community events raise more than $2.4 million annually, in fun, creative and innovative ways. You can help children live happy and healthful futures by participating in or leading a planning committee, volunteering, attending or planning your own fundraiser in support of Connecticut Children's.
PJ Day for the Kids
PJ Day is fun, simple to execute and deeply impactful within school and business communities. We provide everything you need to pitch the event to your PTO, principal or boss. The official state-recognized PJ Day is the second Friday in December, but you can schedule a date, September through June, that works best for your school or business calendar.
Since 2011, more than $2.7 million has been raised in support of Connecticut Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders, with more than $665,000 raised in 2022 alone. Together, $1 (or more) at a time, we are making a difference!
Create Your Own Fundraiser
Anything Goes
Anything, from gift wrapping services to dinners, concerts to cook-offs, bake sales to bottle/can drives, can be a fundraiser. People all over our state are turning their favorite activities into fundraisers to help Connecticut Children’s. Use our Create Your Own fundraiser platform to easily collect online donations from friends and family.
Moments Worth Celebrating
Celebrations like birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, graduations and weddings are wonderful occasions to bring together your loved ones in support of a cause close to your heart. Dedicate your celebration in honor of kids who are courageously fighting childhood diseases so they can reach their next milestone.
From Simple to Extravagant
It's fun and rewarding to plan a virtual fundraising event. From a virtual crafting club to a virtual mindfulness class, the sky is the limit. Host an online-only fundraiser or a hybrid event that brings together your neighbors, and the community, in support of breakthrough research and advanced treatments for both rare and common diseases.
Get Fit and Fundraise
Any event that includes a physical challenge can become a fundraiser! Push yourself for your health, and theirs, with yoga classes, a personal cycling challenge or a virtual 5k. You can even help the neighborhood kids plan a relay race. Your commitment to fitness will help Connecticut Children's continue to improve access to healthcare for all children.
After we lost our dear Jamie, we made a decision to refocus our energy to help other children and families who are fighting cancer like we did. In 2010, we created Jamie’s Run 5K to do just that, and it has become more than we ever dreamed.
